He’ll never understand
how much I care, how much I think, how much I sacrifice just to make others happy, how self-centered and underserving he is, how much better I can do, how much better I need, how we’re opposites, but not even, just incompatible, how half the time I have to force it and half the time it takes over my entire being, how hard it is for me to express my feelings, how unbelievably terrible he is at communicating, how he makes false assumptions, how I assume things from him that he can’t fulfill, how his small promises matter, how he can’t keep any, how torn and conflicted I am, how much I want to give up on it, but can’t.
